Please be praying for me and my team as we head out for Kenya. Definitely need your powerful prayers. Here are some prayer topics:
(This is a picture of Kibera, where 12 of us will be working in the Chemi Chemi Clinic there) Pray for preparation before the trip. Just this past Saturday, many expressed fears/concerns/worries about being swamped with work and other personal things before leaving for this trip.Therefore, please pray for energy, strength, and to not be burnt out (mentally, spiritually, physically) prior to leaving. Pray for conviction and boldness to share with those around us our hearts and motives for going on this trip. Pray for the right words to speak and to be "ready and prepared" to give an answer whenever they ask about this trip or about our faiths. Pray for each person we will meet. That their hearts may be fertile and open to the gospel. Pray for the patients we will encounter. We are not sure about the patient population and many on this trip have been unsure of how to prepare for the patients who we will work with or the work we will be doing. Pray for Nairobi Baptist Church - for their ministry in the city of Nairobi - for the impact they have in the world through their heart for ministry. Pray specifically for Pastor George Shiramba (Senior Pastor) & Pastor Erastus Weru (Outreach Pastor). Pray for the little boys and girls that our partner Nairobi Baptist Church is sponsoring financially, emotionally, & spiritually. That their lives would be impacted by the Holy Spirit. Pray for the desire to serve well; regardless of the situation. To have an attitude of Christ; and the nature of a servant. Pray for a safe journey. Asante!
